We are pleased to announce that as of Monday
May 3, 2020, the restrictions put in place for our hospital/COVID-19 will
lessen. We will now be able to schedule "non-essential" appointments
including all preventative care visits. With these appointments we will allow
clients to enter the building with a safety protocol in place. ONE CLIENT PER
PET. ***PLEASE CONFIRM WITH RECEPTION, YOUR PREFERNCE OF CURBSIDE OR IN PERSON,
WHEN SCHEDULING YOUR APPOINTMENT.
Safety protocol in place will look like the following. We ask if you have any
flu symptoms, fever, or exposed to anyone with Covid symptoms and/ or
positive test? Please wait to schedule appointments. CLIENTS WILL BE REQUIRED
TO WEAR A MASK WHILE INSIDE THE BUILDING. This is to keep our staff healthy so
we can continue to serve you. Clients will continue to call from the parking
lot and receptionists will check them in. At this time an assistant/ technician
will come outside and guide clients with their pets into exam room immediately,
as rooms are disinfected and available. Please be patient with use and we
transition. We will handle all medications, instructions and check outs while
remaining inside exam room. REMINDER: ALLOW 24 HOURS FOR PRESCRIPTION REFILLS.
Our facility will continue to be cleaned multiple times a day in order to keep
our staff as healthy as possible. If you do need to come in for supplies
such as medications or food, or you are coming in for an appointment, please
remember to call us from your vehicle for curbside service first. This process
will be gradual for everyone’s safety. We will continue longer appointments, no
boarding, and no nail trims at this time during this transition. CURBSIDE WILL
BE AVAILABLE IF YOU CHOOSE. PLEASE STAY IN YOUR CAR AND ANSWER YOUR PHONE.
We appreciate your continued patience as our appointment times are lengthened to accommodate our safety protocol. Your appointment(s) may be scheduled farther out than normal as we play catch up from the past several months. Our phone lines may continue to be busier than normal as well, so please be patient and thank you in advance. We are still seeing many sick patients and will need to reserve space for those critical patients.
This last year has been very difficult. We miss seeing you and we miss hugging you. Our number one goal is to keep everyone safe! This includes your pets. We are family here at Highsmith Animal Hospital and think of you all as part of our family. We will get through this together.
Thank you,
Rebecca Boney, RVT- Office Manager
